Beton en yüksek ölçekte modernlik hissi yaratýrken; cam açýk ve þeffaf mekanlar yaratmak için kullanýlýyor; ahþap sýcaklýk ve asalet duygusu için tercih ediliyor. Çevreye verilen önemden dolayý kitapta yer alan projeler arasýna, inþaat alanýndan çýkarýlan malzemelerin ve saman balyalarýyla inþa edilen yapýlar eklendi.
Whether traditional or more groundbreaking materials, we will always want to feature them in our home because they reflect part of our spirit and style. More diaphanous, warmer, innovative and modern spaces can be attained through the use of particular materials to emphasize these attributes. Concrete, glass, vegetable matter, water, wood and bamboo were the materials choosen to structure the chapters of this book. Concrete provides the greatest sense of modernity; glass is used to achieve transparent and open spaces, while wood offers warmth and nobility. Because of the importance of caring for the environment, we added projects that use materials from building site and straw bales that favor the natural surroundings and impact the environment as little as possible. Similarly we included groundbreaking designs and products based on bamboo and homes that consider water a structural part of the design
